Definitely recommend hiking instead of taking the cable car . There's plenty of benches to rest on the way up. You'll find a lookout of both the lake and mountain that doesn't have any crowds.
Nice views of the surrounding area. You can hike up and down as well if you want.
Make sure to go on a sunny day!
View is ok. You can see from the pictures. Feels like something you may as well do..but I wouldn't queue for long
