Really expensive but go for the day (there's a chill out areas) and it's worth it, loads of routes, nicest staff ever, great community feel - only the prices live up to the 'corporate' image
Come here to climb, meet cool people, enjoy a nice workout and have some fun. BKB is ideally situated near many awesome bars , dinosaur bbq , and ample hill creamery...just sayin.
Fun, gritty space to try a new workout alone or with friends. The team & trainers are really nice, and accommodating for first time climbers . Great atmosphere!
Nice indoor climbing gym with a ton of features but WAY to crowded . They pack people in like a Tokyo subway car. Only come if it's early in the mornings. Trust me.
Love it! Lots of routes for beginners to advanced and it's a tight and welcoming community - I've met some great friends here. A little pricey , so if you want to climb often, invest in your own gear!
While I like this place, they do not change/update the bouldering, lead, and top rope routes with sufficient regularity to satisfy most regulars.
Amazing bouldering gym , especially for beginners! Wide variety of climbs, and some of the most creative routes I've ever gotten a chance to climb. Also, best background music of any gym .
We love to come here to switch up our workout routine a bit. There's a ton of different paths we can climb up that vary by skill level, so we're always challenged.
Awesome bouldering section - mid-level top roping routes can get very busy
Awesome place for bouldering and top roping. Has a wide choice for bouldering. Staff is friendly and all over awesome. There is a cute dog that appears once I'm a while. Woof woof.

Great climbing gym with strong climbing community. Everything is well maintained and the staff is helpful and educated .

There'san adaptive program for disabled climbers & the holds in some routes are connected with tape for blind climbers .
The trio behind this place met at Babson College years ago. They're now owners of four climbing locations including this one, in the former Daily News building.
Fantastic variety of bouldering problems as would be expected from such a name. Smaller top roping area. Staff is not particularly warm or friendly .
Went with a group on a Saturday morning; a lot of fun. Not as crowded for a weekend if you get there in the AM.
Loads of fun. Just be sure you know how to tie the proper knots so you'll be allowed to belay.
Great staff . Big gym . Good for top roping and bouldering. Community atmosphere. But memberships are a bit expensive .
Great community and the events keep in improving. Try to find a member to take you with one of their free monthly passes
Lots of kids on the weekends. Expensive day passes but the membership and discount rates make it accessible for fuse timers
Has an amazing time and the community is super friendly .
One of my first hangout spots since moving to this city
It's harder than it looks, but worth a try. If anything, it's a great workout
Come early. Stretch before you climb. Start with easy routes and work your way up. Don't give other people advice unless they ask for it.
Love it here but it's getting crowded ! Remember to share the wall give everyone a chance and bring a friend so you can top rope!
Great bouldering, nice variety, super friendly community. Love this gym !
Free yoga and pilates classes for members or with a day pass purchase to stretch out those kinks after your climb.
Climb walls . Go up high. And don't be scared to fall! Land super cool and look like Spider-Man!
On the smaller side and missing facilities of its more expensive properties. I recommend visiting the other locations before spending $30 on a day pass .
This climbing gym has got a lot of character (ex garage !). I just love this place. It's time to buy an AC tho...
spent a surprising amount of time here. it seemed like there would be a lot of people but the facility is big enough to not have to wait too long at all.
Such a great place to refresh and enjoy life.
Love bouldering! Wish I lived closer. They need bk boulders williamsburg! Lorimer stop pls.
This place has something for everyone. From beginners to extremist you are sure to have fun and get a great workout physically and mentally..
Great place to come with your friends on the weekend and watch each other fall off walls :)
It's New York City 's only fully dedicated rock climbing gym , and one of the East Coast's largest! Did you know that?
Added treat: doubles as a place to see local artists ' work
Come here before 6pm on weekdays if you want to skip the after work hour rush of climbers .
Setting here is fun and interesting. Tends to be soft but the vibe is great.
Largest rock climbing venue in NYC, but gets crowded often
This is simply THE climbing gym of NYC. Great community behind it.
This place offers gym goers a change in pace - remember that muscle confusion is a great thing!

Great problems, friendly people. Tends to get crowded on weeknights.
Bouldering is great here with lots of positive energy.
It definitely gets packed in here but there's enough areas to go around
This place is ideal for bouldering because of all the variable walls which are all challenging. There are too many smelly hipsters so be aware of B.O.
Go dig up your ol' student ID (they don't really check closely) for 3 bucks off a daily pass. Watch out for falling bodies!
