Get a Waitrose loyalty card so you can claim a daily free coffee . Be aware, around 9am the coffee shop gets busy with folks claiming their free drink. As a scheme to get you into the shop, it works!
I love the Waitrose as a whole and have been a devoted customer of it over the years. Nevertheless, a misunderdanding occurred over the soup order today.I and the waitress were partially responsible,

However my fault was lesser by reading the displayed inward sign of the day's soup , whereas the waitress ruthlessly contended that I did not say it out the order as "A bowl of tomato basil soup pls"
Helpful staff . Friendly . Easily accessible from the station. Always good service .
Rather than saying "I did not hear it". Customers as well as workers can be mistaken but denying the someone's explicit statement is against the policy of honesty & does not suit the beauty of RP.
