松坂屋 は1611年 (慶長16年) いとう呉服店として創業し、1910年 (明治43年) に百貨店 として開業した。所謂4M1Tの一つで、全国に5店舗展開する松坂屋 の総本店。本館5階にポケモンセンターナゴヤ、2015年10月29日にはヨドバシカメラが南館4～6階に初出店し大きな話題となった。
松坂屋 の旗艦店であり、店舗面積86,758m²で日本最大の売り場面積を誇る百貨店 。2013年3月20日、本館5階にポケモンセンターナゴヤが移転オープンした。
７階の制服コーナーで、ボーイスカウト用の制服や雑貨 を販売してます。
