A unique mix of huge art gallery , cafes with great food, bars , public space for farmers markets , and theaters in a former slaughterhouse. Worth the 20m subway from the city center.

One of the main cultural centerpoints in Madrid, huge complex incl movies , performing arts etc. Check the Casa del Reloj nearby where sometimes exhibitions take place.

If you're planning to visit Madrid, please, have a look at Matadero's program. There´s always a reason to attend some. ATTENTION!! It closed on Mondays.

Love this place!! Such a cool center with free art exhibits (open after 4 pm), a film center, a cafe , restaurant , performance hall...you can walk around the buildings for free. Events on weekends.

Very nice art center with interesting exhibitions . The only thing I don’t like is its name and what it was meant for. It’s like transforming a concentration camp into a museum .

Nice itinerary markets place randomly! Specialy the Market of design for handcrafts lovers!

Don't miss the Matadero if you're in town . Some weekends they hold a food and plants/fruits market . Very cool place.

Qué vamos a decir nosotras que tenemos nuestra tiendita para animales, con pelu de bajo estrés y piensos naturales, justo enfrente de la puerta principal ;) Pues que nos encanta! Tomar algo, mercados

Gran centro cultural en Madrid. Hay exposiciones temporales, talleres, festivales de cine , teatro ... una amplia oferta de ocio. Fui a ver "El señor YE ama los dragones": muy buena obra de teatro .

Tolles Areal, super an schönen Tagen um die Abendsonne zu genießen und sehr große Ausstellungsmögluchkeiten, aber vorher unbedingt nach dem Programm auf der sehr gut gemachten Web Seite informieren.

No suena bien y las exposiciones son bastante pochas, aunque la entrada suele ser gratis. Puede ser una buena alternativa para gente como tú, sin ideas, y dártelas de cultureta con quien te convenga.

Es un espacio muy interesante con diversas opciones y hay una biblioteca donde voy a leer o escribir. Me encanta ir con la bici y aparcarla allí.

Uno de los sitios más recomendables de Madrid. La feria cada ultimo finde de mes espectacular. Exposiciones , ambiente, buen rollo... Uno de los mejores lugares recuperados y reconvertidos de Madrid

Ahora están organizando el mercado de productores, donde traen productos de los agricultores de la zona, aparte de una gran oferta de comida y bebida. Cerveza artesanal de micromarcas muy recomendable

Siempre hay algo interesante que ver: exposiciones , teatro , actuaciones . La zona se ha revitalizado en los últimos años. Siempre un acierto ir al Lucca.

Grandes salas y salones con exposiciones , foros, conferencias ... Toda la cultura reunida entre las paredes que elijas; espacios de conocimiento y entretenimiento. Cafeterías bien ambientadas y baratas

1era vez que voy y me encantó! El ambiente es super buenrollo y las salas muy lindas . Buena programación de exposiciones y planes distintos (bastante hipsters) todo el tiempo.

Siempre hay algo que hacer si visitas este lugar. Ver una expo, tomar un café , pasear por su patio a pie , en bici, un concierto , una improvisación, un mercadillo indie, una lectura...

El top de Madrid. El café teatro , la casa del lector, la cantina, el mercado del dibujo ofrecen calidad arquitectónica y espacios chulisimos a la ciudad... Con el Madrid río detrás!

El simple hecho de visitar las instalaciones supone ya una visita obligada, y si además coincide que hay alguna exposición o película interesante puedes pasar una tarde genial en un entorno diferente
