Fort Yargo State Park

Fantastic MTB trails !!! Outer advanced loop is amazing! Can get technical in areas, but the rock path next to the lake is serene! Best rides are just after sunrise; wake up on the trails & enjoy!!!

The Yurts are awesome to stay in. They sleep up to 6 people and have a great heater that will keep you warm in the winter months.

The Ft. Yargo Living History Society is in attendance every 3rd Saturday at the historic old trading house. Very nice group of people, head over to say hello and chat!

The "beach " is so great for families awesome place & tons of other activities as well !!!

Site 52 at the walk-in area is ideal for hammock tenting. Well-spaced trees in close proximity to fire ring.

Try out the frisbee disc golf course in the park . Costs $3 at the visitor office . Great course for beginners.

The beach is big enough to play volleyball and take a dip .

Campground 2 is in the process of building a new bathhouse that will be really nice. It should be up & running by March 2013.

For Winter camping in the walk-in area, new sites 48 - 52 offer better cover from cold winds.

The Living History group is at the old fort the third (3Rd) weekend of every month

Had fun checking out the old fort with the family. Looking forward to going back.

Walk-in site #44 has its own water spicket. #43 has a nice view of the fishing pier .

Stay in a yurt ! This place is outstanding.

The Monster Mile section of the trails is a beast, on foot or bike .

Awesome and safe place to take your Sunday School kids fishing .

The Yargo Area Biking Association does great work! Def try the trails out!

Walk-in tent camping has moved. Be prepared to use portable potties... I wasn't. The sites are beautiful.

Lots to do! Sucks that u have to pay to park ! Booo! Always finding something to charge ppl for even tho u charge us to do things ONCE were in! isn't that enough! Apparently not!
