The Parkland is lovely as are the gardens . Comments about the "long walk " are misplaced. Take the frequent shuttle bus if you are concerned or if you have mobility issues.
We took the Blue walk back from the house which had a gentle incline through the trees and seemed easier than other routes. We also came across the large herd of buck deer!
As for the house "not being historic" what utter nonsense. It isn't in the sense of national events or people but just bother to look - it's a country estate. Some great furniture , good paintings .
Contrary to what other people have said I think the house is well worth walking around. Some wonderful furniture and paintings .
Deer walk amazing. Friendly and informative rangers took us to see the large herd of deer. Lots of work going on the house and gardens to improve.
Stilling house and gardens . Get lost in the nature, hike around and enjoy a picnic on the hills . We love Dyrham Park!
Brilliant place for a picnic or even a nap on the lawns on a sunny day!
Try the restaurant for lunch . Food amazing
Shuttle bus from car park to house
Very good#
Absolute disappointment for the National Trust. Awful facilities and just parkland .
It's a long walk from car park to house and a very steep long walk back again. They have a bus though. House no significant historical merit location for Remains of the Day film with Anthony Hopkins
House not worth much but gardens nice and a garden tour is well worthwhile.
Be prepared to be patient! Complete chaos when ordering! Also eat outside its quieter ! - Rob Blackburn
