A crowded place (which is a good sign) Still we didn't have to wait for long. Good spicy curry food and a nice spot in the neighbourhood. We 're from the Netherlands in Europe and we liked it here.
Good Punjabi comfort food ! Get a stack of parathas with sweet and spicy Indian pickles , the spicy pumpkin is to die for! The spinach rolls should be paired with old monk (rum ) from the bar !
Get a hand-held snack : "Indiroll," a variation on kati rolls , the burrito-like street food found in India. Warning: The spicy and succulent lamb curry might threaten to break through the wheat roti . Read more
The lamb is awesome and tender, the spicy pumpkin is creamy and delicious, the potatoes and eggplant is mild but full of flavor. The Lassi is baller AF, best I've ever had. No regrets.
I really like the Butter Chicken and the Mango Chicken . So far everything I have had from here is good. The atmosphere inside is relaxed, plus there is free Wifi and outdoor seating .
Rolls, Goat Curry , spicy chicken all were good. By far the best indian food at a moderate price in DC
I LOVE this place. Great food, great vibe. No frills, no pretense.Imagine an Indian version of some of the best dive restaurants in NYC.
Soo soo good! There is no better place to have good vegetarian food ! Smoked egg plant is my favourite.
Spicy chicken curry is great, paalak paneer is awesome. Menu is constantly changing with new good things to try all the time.
Everything was good! But especially lamb curry , spicy chicken masala , and thali plate. Great neighborhood spot .
Butter chicken is excellent. And don't sleep on the okra .
We had the tikka masala and spicy chicken tikka ! Awesome place - very busy which is always a good first impression
Indian beer garden heaven. (Mango chicken is the move.)
Good masala chicken . Spicy masala is too spicy for me (and I like to think I can tolerate spicy foods pretty well ).
The saag paneer was fantastic: spicy and succulent . Everything here just looks and tastes fresh, too.
Everything is amazing and the owners are quite possibly the nicest, most accommodating people on the planet!
The Saag Chicken (spicy ) was amazing. Chickpeas on the side with rice & roti ... everyone goes home happy.
Try goabi aloo and the butter chicken !! Super yummy
Great neighborhood spot . Dining outside is easy and comfortable . Palak paneer and Taj Mahal beer !
Really good food at a good price. The people that work there are very nice. I'll be back.
Feels like homemade Indian food ! Super yummy
They have a small selection of bottled beers , but I'm most excited about the bottled Coke , Diet Coke and Sprite. Super nice staff .
Some good spicy options but the goat and lamb dishes are always great.
One of my favourite restaurants . Try different kind of breads .
Very good indian food with a lot of options
Authentic lamb curry with a good kick to it
Delicious food, very pleasant staff . Make sure to ring the bell!
Awesome platters! The green chutney is fiahhhh...
This place is so good, try the chicken butter ????????????
Great food in a fun neighborhood hangout.
For real, everything I've tried here is good. Sorry for the useless tip.
Some of the best palak paneer I've had!
Line look too long? You can order food outside if you're sitting at the bar .
Just try anything. Very good food!
Best Indian food I’ve ever had
Friendly staff . Food is reasonably priced.
Great environment, friendly owner !
Ask for a tea while you wait
Spicy Masala Chicken !
Didn’t even have to taste the food to know it would be good (it is lol). Was in there for 15 seconds and came out smelling like curry .
Best Indian in DC
The bread here is to die for!!
If you ever choose TD Burger over this place, you've failed as a human.
good for to go orders
Great curry chicken
Old monk beer !
The real deal Indian food . Simple and elegant scrumptiousness until the last bite.
bland, overpriced, the chickpeas are worth it tho
This restaurant is overrated I don’t like there food
Es realmente delicioso y económico si se tiene en cuenta que los platos son grandes y alcanzan perfectamente para dos. El Lamb curry es máximo.
get the sampler so you get a little of everything. monsoon menu is unique in DC and comes with a little chai to cut the spice - morg
Love the easy parking garage via 3rd street. It's also not very crowded yet due to construction so it's perfect for my social anxiety disorder. Will make this my regular store until things change. - Allyson Wilson
I loved Wunder Garten! It's such a cool space, complete with human sized chess! Their drinks are also super cheap for a great quality. I loved their cider, only $6! - Amanda Beth
Recently renovated to replace the drab original architecture from the 60s. - Derek Jones
