I love this place! I frequently get the chicken and dumplings , fried okra , and green beans . Oh, and biscuits . Love to stroll through the shop after eating.
They have the best salads . Unlike most, they fill your appetite and don't leave you hungry and hour or so after.
atmosphere is warm & entertaining (checkerboards by the fire), wait staff is great, & food is very filling, but for me, food was mediocre. if you loved public school lunches , you'll love this place.
Sample platter with meatloaf , chicken dumpling , & ham . Hasbrown casserole , mac n cheese , & green beans . Perfect meal. 2 meals out of it.
Complete Thanksgiving dinner with pie and drink just $10.99...and you don't have to clean up! :)
Closest thing to traditional american food . Hashbrown casserole was amazing. Also do try the iced tea (unsweetened)
I absolutely love their Homestyle Chicken on Sundays! Biscuits and apple utter!! Yum!

My usual: Momma's pancake breakfast with peach topping and whipped cream , sausage , eggs over easy and a large glass of milk . Try it.
Although the dumplings are delicious, pancakes are the king
The salads are okay tasting but your only option if you're watching your diet or are- God forbid- allergic to Gluten.
On Thanksgiving Day, I suggest you have dinner somewhere else and have desert here. At 3:00PM there is an 80 minute wait.
