You can't call yourself a Coloradan until you've visited Casa Bonita, an institution that was alternately amusing and horrifying visitors long before the concept of "eatertainment" became hot. Read more
Taco salad was the best choice (though the register girl said she liked the rellianos). Always a cool experience!
The sopaipillas are really the only things we enjoyed eating here. The taco salad was okay but no real flavor and very little meat. We just enjoyed the atmosphere, music and diving. Fun ambiance!
Be sure to enjoy all the theming in the line as you wait to order and be served! You don’t really come for the food but for the entertainment!
Everything! I had an excellent bean burrito with queso on top and Spanish rice . To top it all of, dessert was an awesome Sopaipilla treat with honey !
Great food and shows. Ask for the sopapillas as soon as you start your meal so you can use it for your protein. The only downside is the time waiting in the line , it’s terrible but worth it.
The food can't be avoided (must purchase a meal for entry) but plan to go with friends and camp out, and order tons of drinks. Plenty of shows, arcade games , and amusing ephemera to explore.
They have an admission fee option for $10 you get a soda and sopapillias
Not your average Mexican restaurant , this longtime Denver favorite is known less for its food and more as an indoor amusement park with cliff divers , a pirate cave , magicians and more.
OK, I understand it's cool to rip on this place - but the truth is, we need more unique places in a franchise world. Great food, good entertainment, themed environment, and LOTS to explore!!
Fried ice cream and the kids chicken strips are yummy try them instead of adult plates... I useto work here I enjoy bringing my son I know where all the cool spots are!!!
You go here for the atmosphere, the entertainment and to watch the delight on the kids faces (and first-timers!). The food you could get out of the freezer section of the supermarket .
Casa Bonita at 6 minutes drive to the east of Comfort Dental Kids - Lakewood
I enjoyed the taco salad but everyone else in my group complained bitterly. It was sort of ridiculous but I'm glad I saw it once. It felt like Disneyland+Cafeteria.
Brace yourself for a meal of epic proportions — all-you-can-eat beef enchiladas are served in a pirate cavern beneath a 22-karat gold leaf dome featuring a statue of the last Aztec emperor. Read more
So much fun! The food is absolutely disgusting, but it's definitely a family place . The sopapillas are better then most in Denver. I totally recommend it.
You’re here for the experience and sopapillas . Don’t get too worked up about the food. If you want to be a Coloradan, you’ve got to check Casa Bonita off your list.
If you want to experience the best Casa Bonita has to offer walk through the exit, look around, and go elsewhere for dinner
Go because you heard about it on South Park , stay because there's loads of cheeseriffic crap to witness
The taco salad was actually ok. Sopapillas were not as good anymore. You're not going for the food but a fun unique experience that your kids won't forget. The best tacky tourist attraction ever,
Get a table by the waterfall for great views of the show.
A Denver classic, food is not great, go for the experience and divers!
Play the "Who's-Going-in-the-Water?" game. (Pro tip: check the actors' feet; no-shoes mean they're going in.)
The setting of a village in Mexico, complete with a waterfall , recreated inside. This restaurant is truly unique.
The food isn't as bad as people say. The entertainment is awesome! We played so much skeeball when we weren't busy watching the cliff divers .
Go for the entertainment, not for the food. Great for kids!! Sopapillas are the best still!
Enchilada and taco plate !!! Fried ice cream !!! Love sopaipillas
The games for the kids and the cliff divers . For adults, let me put it this way I paid my kids actual cash to leave. It was torture
was out first time. Get there early to avoid lines . choose the taco salad no meat. bc a meal is required. My whole fam is sick from the food so stick w basic things. Eat chips n salsa n sopapillas
Food is so so just like everyone says. Fun atmosphere . You order like at Ponderosa back in the day.
Casa Bonita is like a Mexican Disneyland since there is so much detail to the decor. It's also like Disneyland because the food is expensive (and kinda sucks), but that $15 you pay acts as admission.
Try the taco salad , Amigo Burgers and ENDLESS SOPAPILLAS! Definitely Defin
Let me suggest....the water and lettuce. Not at all what I expected for the food. I would definitely say Taco Bell is much better than this. However, my 6 yr old daughter loved the shows.
Cartman: Casa Bonita is my favorite place in the whole world, I'll just die if you don't take me. Please.
This place is legit. Probably one of Denver's most premier Mexican restaurants . I've tried every dish and don't have anything bad to say about the food other than that it's delicious.
You have to be a fan of South Park to fully appreciate this place. Sit back and enjoy the show.
By far the best Mexican food outside of Croatia!
Nothing on the Manu is worth the calories.. You are better off eating at taco bell or deltaco.. The kids enjoys the experience and they have fun here, they make you buy a $13.00 meal in order to go in
Save space for the (included) sopapillas dessert ... And enjoy the show!
I think I have a sopapilla hangover. They are pretty tasty, hot & dripping with honey .
Atmosphere and it's kind of Denver tradition. It's fast food , but it's ok.
Food is ok, service is ok, but it's a fun atmosphere for families. Lots to see and do, shows, arcade
Lower level in the caves to the right of the water fall. One of the stalagmites has the words casa bonita on it. This is the cave with the bats on the ceiling not the barrel.
Generally a great experience. Dont expect much of the food but the experience with kids and friends is a "10"
Great entertainment, especially for kids
Don't expect great food or good service . Do expect a great family time for hours.
Calling this place "Mexican Disneyland " is an insult to both Mexico and Disneyland.
Food is not its strong point....sometimes cold, very bland. Sopapillas are awesome, really fun place with shows!
Popular place. The kids had a lot of fun. The food is average and overall way too expensive . The wait is too long all things considered. Seating location is key!
Everything is consistently delicious, except the barbacoa, do not eat the barbacoa. - Jacob Snyder
Hike the Trading Post Trail for great views of the park. It's an easy hike, too! - Krista Vogel
Enjoy Denver at its best! Awesome place to shop for sports wear. GO BRONCOS! I really liked the old Mile High - Hampton Inn Denver-International Airport
Great location downtown. Tree/Rock Display in center field was very scenic. Thin air causes a lot of home runs. If you need help deciding which Seats to purchase for your next Rockies game, check out - John Mann
