Portage Park

The name of the park is a reference to the route (now Irving Park Road ) that had been used by Native Americans and fur traders to portage their canoes between the Des Plaines and Chicago Rivers .

This park has a list of rules to ensure your safety and to ensure that the pool and grounds stay clean . If they had no rules you still wouldn't be happy and still complain.

Here really worry about your privacy :)

Park is nice, though we avoid the pool after a number of bad experiences. Scuzzy restrooms , long lines , and fascist life guards .

This park has so many activities for the children, but you have to register in time

The squirrels wil come right up to you if you feed them

Avoid going to the swimming pool . There's a bunch of nazi's running that place. Way too many rules and regulations to follow which will certainly spoil your day
