Brookside Gardens

The Butterfly exhibit was amazing! My son loved it. If you go on a weekday, go after 1 o'clock and you will not run into groups of children on field trips. The gardens themselves were stunning.

I come here for the annual railway exhibit , put up by the Garden Train club. The layout is done differently each year. There is a scavenger hunt for objects and has two levels of difficulty.

Beautiful park/botanical gardens great for groups , couples, families and friends. Well landscaped, space for everyone, rose garden is amazing. Bring walking (or running) shoes and enjoy. Read more

Lots of lively terraces , gazebos , and large trees to relax in/under. Easy, paved paths.

Picnics r not allowed on Brookside Gardens grounds. Go next door to Wheaton Regional Park then come in to stroll the beautiful gardens . Ps dogs r not allowed on BG grounds either. Please leave them at

This place is gorgeous during the day and guessing by the number of twinkle lights set up, is probably spectacular at nighttime too.

Great place to stop if you have packed a lunch and you are in the area...eat your lunch surrounded by Nature's beauty...it's free.

Unfortunately they have drained the pond and are doing quite a bit of construction . Not quite as beautiful as usual.
