Leadenhall Market is a historic and protected site City of London London located in United Kingdom.
Gracechurch St London Greater London EC3V 1LT United Kingdom
Leadenhall Market was used to represent the area of London near The Leaky Cauldron and Diagon Alley in the film Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.
A good place to dine and unwind in the evening. One of my fave in London.
A must for Harry Potter fans ! There is nothing much to do except shopping little stuff. Flowers , clothes and a really good pen store. Have a coffee or take a walk, it's beautiful and charming.
The historical venue for modern filmmakers: Clint Eastwood's Hereafter, and Harry Potter (Leaky Cauldron ). All the shops were closed when I visited, so can't comment.
Lovely for an afternoon bite and a glass of wine . Especially because nobody aims those places - pubs are crowded . The place is too nice to be missed.
Very small, compared to other city markets ... but seemed higher-end with real shops and set within really cool architecture building (instead of shacks/stalls)
This was the site of London’s enormous Roman basilica (seat of civic government), the largest north of the Alps. The current name comes from a medieval house here that had lead roofing
went too early on a weekday morning. wasn’t any crowds around to have the market feel but had beautiful shots without people around!
Leadenhall Market was built on the site of the Roman forum and basilica. An 1881 plan of the 'antiquities ' exposed on the site showed extensive remains of the forum and basilica buildings.
If you’re coming here for pictures, come on Sunday when everything’s closed and there’s no crowds
I went on a sunday and it was closed but its an amazing place to walk around. The books on the ceiling are good
Built on top of the site of a Roman basilica and forum, now an old shopping mall
Its cobbled walkways and glass Victorian roof make it an attractive place to shop, eat and drink or simply relax
Coffee shops in and around the market tend to close fairly early in the evening, around 6pm. (Yes, even the chains.)
Tortilla do good burrito wraps and Chopped do a good selection of warm salads , the falafel and hummus one is great
Fantastic passage having many pubs & restaurants inside. Perfect choice to have a pint after work
Lovely quaint place - excellent architecture
Constantly changing, great place to visit with a good selection of places to eat
a solid contrast from the area around. just luveeeeeet! xx
Visit Ortega for fine Spanish food reasonably priced. Try the fried manchego and honey with seafood paella and a bottle of Vega del Rayo.
A beautiful place. Although I thought it would be like Covent Garden with stalls there.
You can see the remains of the basilica in the basement of the hairdressers in the corner..
Great architecture . A must see in London.
Food, Drinks and a bit of Shopping!!! Great for Harry Potter Fans too!!!
Surprisingly closed on weekends. But gorgeous to walk through either way.
Come during a weekday...always very closed on weekends.
