Good diving spot . Also good food. Parking is bad. Over all prefer this to Santa Monica
Veterans park makes for a great resting place if you're running down to the beach and want to make a quick stop before hitting the strand.

This park has great play areas and plenty of tables for a get together. Plenty of trees too for some great shade. Only bummer is no dogs allowed. - Jonathan Dingman
Just recently had their Sauteed Scallops immersed in garlic/wine/butter sauce. Delicious! But more specifically, you have to get the Smoked Salmon Chowder as their soup appetizer. Truly one of a kin - Michael Parks
