I like this place. It's kind of gross but if you like unique places with interesting and kitschy architecture this is a must stop. A great place for photos.
What began as a beer stand over 60 years ago, has grown into a 300-acre complex that includes a dozen gift shops , six restaurants , an amusement park , a motel and a campground . Read more
Amid the mini-golf, wedding chapel, reptile lagoon , golf course and jogging trail , there's also a truck stop . You can take it all in from the 200-foot-tall Sombrero Observation Tower. Read more
I always enjoy stopping at SOB. Browse the shops, grab a bite to eat, take a photo with the many statues !
Interesting place to stop when driving from NY to SC. Hats around the world. Ayayayayay!
Wonderful pit stop for the family to get out walk around and see a fun piece of history. Lots of great photo opportunities and FIREWORKS! #fun #family #roadtrip
A unique and memorable place to stretch your legs, have a pee, get a snack , find cheap & fun souvenirs and take some one-of-a-kind photos!
If Disney is like Vegas to a child, this place would be Atlantic City . Fun but dirtier.
Get your lifetime dose of kitsch in one stop! There's no end to the tackiness — and that's what makes it so much fun.
Everyone has to make a stop here at least once in their life. You probably don't never stop again but you have to do it once.
I love it there such a fun place, only uses the rest room today, gonna stop on the way back for sure!
If your looking for a quirky place to stop with traveling north or south this is the place!
A good place to stop for a bathroom break. If you need other stuff in the meanwhile, you can find it there too.
Bathrooms were clean . Nothing fancy (but not bad as others have said) - clean , and plenty of soap, TP and good lighting.
Classic roadside attraction . It was probably awesome in its heyday. Now it's mostly a relic. Pro: The reptile lagoon . Con: can't pay per ride at the amusement park .
Check out the reptile house! You won't be disappointed
If they say their rooms are full, they'll try to sell you a $200 room. Decline & ask if the rooms across the street are full too. These rooms have older TVs and fridges but are clean and comfortable .
Greatest place on earth. Plan on spending at least a week here to see everything.
Glad to have stopped. Odd for sure. The history of this place is pretty awesome. Wiki it. Random fact: Ben Bernanke once worked here.
Love this place! Grew up here and my gum is still stuck on Pedros bare bottom! Hope nobody takes it! The food is great and I love the ice cream !
Only drove through when everything was closed one morning. Looks like a time capsule from the 1950's.
Cheesy yes but worth it to stop and look around
Keep entertained by watching the signs and miles tick by!
You will regret stopping here. Enjoy the billboards on I.95. They are the best part of this place. Go a few miles up or down the road for a better potty and gas stop
Mediocre at best. Tried the quesadilla with refried beans and rice . Chicken had little flavor, no spice or zing. Refried beans had an off taste and were presented like it was put on plate with scoop
Gotta stop by and check it out
The first thing you see in the gift store is sea of shot glasses!!! Gotta love it!
Made our South's Best List! This highway stop has eats, fun tourist shopping and attractions like a reptile exhibit and small theme park . Read more
Pedro , possibly the tallest Mexican man above 5'5" tall lol. Ever notice most of the women are taller than the Mexican men, or is it just me? Just saying...
Enjoy the ageless sight when traveling south on I95....
You don't even have to order extra cheese on your Mexican Pizza ... it's everywhere. I can't drive by without stopping. Great way to break up the most boring 500 miles on I-95.
A fun stop on I-95 that’s home to the World’s Cheesiest Roadside attraction .
A lot of places to visit and get souvenirs
A little bit of everything
American kitsch at its most strange! It’s really a place for selfies and a cheap trinket.
Could use some reinvestment. Great property- 30 years ago.
The reptile lagoon was cool.
An old time favorite. Filled with junk.
Go to Bucee's in Texas for a clean bathroom , good road trip snacks , and good impulse shopping. South of the Border was a SOB.
What can you say about SOB it is what it is and what it is is a piece of history in our family...Mom went there for her Honeymoon "back in the day" when it was just new...
Pick up a 5cent bumper sticker
"You never sausage a place."
Looking for diesel? Go up to Porky's! But, there's no pay-at-the-pump! It's old school and if you're a sedan driver, you'll be the only non-trucker in the lot!
The food is tasty and comes out steamy hot
You can see two states from the top of the worlds tallest sombrero !!!!
Cheeky touristy stuff.
Look, the place is a trap, we all know that, but your kids will love it and you can't drive past it as much as you knock it! ;)
A staple in the state .... a place you should at least visit once just to say you have been there.
The food was awesome. It was Muy bueno. Got awesome pictures. I love Pancho and Pedro .
It is what it is. It's dirty , old, creepy, but fun. Great for Instagram and cheap crap from China.
