let me just say, cool place to shop in - I was blown away by the selection, especially in the produce. not to mention I love all the samples throughout & layout of the store

I always go here with my girlfriend and she gets the Cali Connection while I get the Portobello . I wish I could say more, but that's what the picture is for. Waiting to find parking is soooo worth it!

They can teach you wild boar preparation here. I must say, their methods differ from mine. In my experience the best way to prepare for a wild boar is plenty of cardio .

This Market become better than the whole food market .. i love how they serve everything from the bakery fresh. Also the butchery side is huge and surely you will find what you want if you come early

I’m obsessed. Everything is great. Go here if you love food or want to expand/ try different things. Personally, I can’t shop here all of the time but it’s great for spoiling yourself.

Great selection of everything. Go to the salad bar and try the Southwestern salad with chipotle dressing or try the different selections in the sushi section. Soups are great too! Good spot for lunch

Central Market is a great place to go for lunch ! You can walk in and get a salad or a sandwich made, etc. I recommend the "Club 491" or "California Connection", amazing!

I stop here whenever I am visiting Houston. they have loads of variety. If you ask to try something, you can take a free sample home and prepare it.

Best grocery store in town , hands down. Finest quality meats, seafood , veggies , prepared foods, etc. Quality ain't cheap , but they have occasional discount specials. Purchase staples elsewhere.

Amazing food and specialty items , but the layout makes it extremely difficult to move around when it's crowded

My favorite grocery store . Literally everything you could want. Huge organic produce selection and meats/seafood. Also, has its own bakery .

In the refrigerated drink coolers located in the ready made food area grab the Sparkling Grapefruit Juice if you like citrus . Terrific for the heat of the summer. Happy Seasons everyone.

Love the prepared foods section. Kale salad , Latin quinoa and black bean , corn and jicama salad are great. central market > whole foods 

Fantastic hand-made sandwiches . Add fresh jalapeños to your falafel wrap for an extra punch!!

The California Connection is the single greatest sandwich ever created. It does get a little sweet with too many caramelized onions so just ask them to go light or remove entirely.

They will break any container in the bakery , just ask. Don't want the four pack, they will happily make it a two (or one or three!)

The sandwich bar can't be matched. My favorite sandwich shop and go here for fresh meat and seafood

Come during the weekend, daytime before 2pm or so for a feast of samples as you wander lackidasically around the labyrinth

Great produce selection. ..especially if you like apples ! A bit pricey but a fun place to shop!

When I don't know what I want or I'm craving a combo no restaurant can offer, but I know I want a complete, healthy, freshly made meal, this place never fails.

Go to sandwich bar and order the grilled veggie sandwich on toasted ciabatta bread . Grilled eggplant , asparagus , carmelized onions , goat cheese , hummus , grilled zucchini ..Loads of good, fresh veggies

The bakery does a good job on my items but unfortunately NOT on a basic French baguette . It’s totally devoid of substance: too light, bland, unsatisfying.

The salad bar (with pre-designed salads ) is the best! The chopped salad is delicious. Sub oil & vinegar for the Catalina dressing , though!

Great place to go! However, make sure you are very patient, and i go so far as to leave my kids at home.

They change up the roast chicken flavors all the time, and I still haven't found one that isn't tasty and tender!

Best meat/seafood selection by far... Expect long lines on Sunday evenings...

Definitely get the Cali Connection sammie. It's super messy but well worth it! Also the gourmet cupcakes here are fabulous.
