Incline Railway St. Elmo Station

yep Incline Railway is great slow ride up Lookout Mountain . It's ride up slow so you can take in the view as you go up the mountain . But if you go make sure it's a bright and sunny day.

Wow, this was a HUGE disappointment!! Thought we were gonna get a good view of the city but all you see are trees , shrubs and people's back yards !

For a fun outing, take the Incline from the top down to the St. Elmo station, then walk across the street for excellent (and cheap !) pizza and ice cream at Mr. T's! Ride back up with a full tummy!

It is a slow ride up the Mountain , but love St. Elmo at the bottom and Look out Mountain .

Wow! Would take this ride as often as I could. Met some wonderful folks from Suffolk England and had a nice chat.

$20 photos at the top... Its a 3 mile hike to Lookout Mountain , so ride back down and drive!

It goes without stating , try to get a seat on the front row if you can!

Sit in the front for a great view , smaller kids may feel safer in the back

Great family experience. Reward the kids at the top with a Slush Puppie.

Love the incline, sorry my trees fell on the tracks and thankful for my neighbors helping clean them up!

Came here as a kid with my family and so glad to relive the experience 13 years later!

Smells like eggs . Ask for the egg salad sandwich special.
