Despite the accolades, having tasted both black and white versions, verdict is it is just decent, not awesome. Not even sure I will order it again.

Jermaine

I like the black carrot cake with chilli . It's one of the better ones that I have tried in Singapore. Generous portions as well . Be ready to wait if you are ordering without chilli .

Ivan N

Yummy ! Personally I prefer the white carrot cake as the carrot isn't override by the taste of black soy sauce !

Hui Min Tan

$2 for white carrot cake . $2.50 for black (sweet) carrot cake . Of course, you have the option to pay more for a larger portion! :)

Not nice not nice! I ordered black/white combi costing 4 bucks. White does not have the good charred taste. Black is too salty. The "cake " doesn't have the important soft texture #ThomtoriEats

Price had increased. White Carrot cake $2.5/$3/$4 and black carrot cake . $3/$4

Don't understand the long queue for the carrot cake here, personally found it so so only!

Come In the evening that's the best time with not many people.

ALWAYS spot the long queue! Love their dry kway teow - mix it with tomato sauce, lard & red cut chilli - best! The homemade fishballs (someX mixed wif meatballs) are soft yet bouncy. Cheap & Awesome. - Anch Lim
