Sanssouci Palace

Frederick the Great is buried on the upper terrace . He introduced potatoes to Germany and now people lay potatoes on his grave as a sign of respect

More nature! Potsdam is a great city which is very very close to Berlin also has loads of nature in itself! Sans souci is a great park but I wouldn't prefer to go into the palaces instead of nature!

Interesting interior design in each room. Don't forget to visit the kitchen, round the corner from the main rooms. Many people forget it! Free entry with your ticket.

Heaven! A forest in the city ? And lots of surprising buildings inside. I could easily spend the whole day in the Park . Very peaceful

It´s the Versailles of Germany and used to be Frederick´s the Great (King of Prussia) summer residence where he could forget all his worries and spend time with his dogs

Definitely worth visiting in the spring or autumn: when the overwhelming beauty of the nature races with that of the palaces .

I think the best thing about this palace is the stairs with plants, but in winter they are completely dry and grey, so it's not so beautiful. You can visit the building, but it's quite expensive .

Nice tour but you have to pay extra 3 euros in order to take photos!

Not too many rooms are open for the public and note that there are fixed time slots for visiting the interiors.

Gorgeous place. If you come here through the Nouis palace , make sure to walk down all the way to San Soucci palace .

Be sure to visit the kitchen - lovely store by the back of the palace for exquisite gifts .

Didn’t get inside, regulations too strict. But perhaps one doesn’t miss much either when not getting inside. As it’s often with palaces they are much more impressive from the outside ;)

The only clean WC is the one near to the restaurant , seriously be careful.

The tour really sucks. They are overcrowded and you have little time to admire the hitory

Wir waren zu Pfingsten dort mit den Fahrrädern. Das Wetter war top, die Landschaft und das Schloss atemberaubend! Immer einen Ausflug wert!!

Wer den Park besucht,sollte sich auch das Schloss ansehen.Wirklich schön zu sehen,wie prachtvoll man früher leben konnte.Etwas Geschichte bekommt auch noch mit.

Дворец построен по приказу Фридриха II, он же Фридрих Великий, он же Старый Фриц. Эта летняя резиденция, в которой король искал уединение , была построена за 2 года (1745-1747)

Ja, an den Hauptgebäuden ist es grade am Wochenende voll. Aber der Park ist so groß, man findet immer eine gemütliche Ecke für sich , oder zu zweit ;)
