It is in a dodgy part of Istanbul - revolving thanks to the arrival of art galleries . Pilevneli in particular is like a black box outside , the interior is stone with an unfinished surface. Lovely.

I attended the opening of the gallery which felt “unfinished” at the time. Not sure if that’s the feeling it is supposed to convey, however will be and is great to display large sized artworks. - Aylin Alpustun

Definitely my favourite art gallery in Istanbul. The architecture and the art is wonderful. It is in a tough neighbourhood & there’s limited car parking space. Free shuttle is available from Tepebaşı - Aylin Alpustun
