great place love it, but very tight space and quite humid al though very hands on and emrsive
Wear shoes with a sturdy sole (nothing that will allow you to slip easily). Lots of fun, history and a great learning experience for kids of all ages!
Great place to take kids (teenagers) and adults. We had a blast exploring and imagining how live was on the ship for the soldiers
Everything is absolutely amazing. There are lots of stairs though. So beware of that.
Really extensive self-guided tour . I didn't expect to see that much of the ship!
It was so much fun to explore the battleship ! Be careful on the stairs they are very steep
Come on a cool day; it gets hot down below! Awesome historical site . Be prepared to walk!

Photo Tip: Arrive early to get the best light for the 16" guns on the aft deck of the boat, which faces downtown across the Cape Fear River .
Allow a minimum of 2 hours to see the 'basics' on the self guided tour . A great way to understand the conditions that sailors & marines had to tolerate on board this ship.
What a great family experience to learn about history and cool big guns! :)
Bring a camera and get some really cool shots from the deck or inside the multiple levels of the ship.
A little bit expensive , $12 a person and very time consuming we were there for 3 hours and we tried to hurry ourselves along. Definitely something to see though!!
Allot yourself at least 2 to 2.5 hours to see everything. Memories from the sailors who served are really interesting.
Great place to visit and learn about WWII naval vessels and life...

Amazing tour of life on a WWII battleship
A must see if you like historical things
It's been 25 years since I was here. Still a great treasure of WWII history.
Nice place to visit for half an hour, then you'll get bored. Too hot down there
Explore this WWII battleship and keep an eye out for the ghost ! He's known to hang out in the galley sometimes.
Dont wear a skirt ! Youll be climbing up and down ladders, most of which have fans near them!
if you show up at the right time of the day you can meet the guy who wrote the ghost story book about the ship
A floating history lesson for all ages. A must do if your in Wilmington.
Cool place for a history lesson .
I recommend not going in the middle of summertime, it was way too hot and humid. It was a bit pricey as well .
Always a great time, don't forget to wear closed toe shoes .
Awesome place for a history fix!
Flip flops are not GI for a reason! I suggest tennis shoes .
