Soviet War Memorial in Treptower Park

A really weird sovietic memorial with a very communist vibe. It's huge and "too much". It's strange that this was not destroyed or altered after the fall of the wall. A really interesting place!

Soviet troops unite! For a real Soviet propaganda experience, this is the place. But be nice, there's thousands of soldiers buried here, who died fighting the Nazi's. There families come here to visit

An impressive memorial and an important piece of recent history of Berlin. Huge and so out of time/place. Off the beaten tourist track , but definitely worth seeing.

Built immediately after the war in 1949. It commemorates the 80K dead in the battle for Berlin . The theme is "courageous death." Memorial is lined with stone sarcophagi with Stalin quotes.

Можно как угодно относиться к послевоенному пафосу , но в этом случае, думаю, места пафосу нет. Будете в Берлине - обязательно приходите к воину и девочке, им тут, беднягам, холодно и одиноко без вас

Памятник воину-освободителю все помнят еще из книг для чтения в начальной школе. Очень сильный монумент ! Здесь же расположена братка могила на 4000 солдат , кто погиб при взятии Берлина.

Вучетич использовал лучший по цвету и по фактуре камень из знаменитых шведских карьеров, привезеный поличному заказу Гитлера! Из него Фюрер хотел воздвигнуть свой гигантский монумент в центре Москвы !

El monumento está situado dentro de Treptower Park, y la verdad es que es una cosa colosal, El paseo hacia la estatua del soldado (increible su tamaño) es una experiencia extraordinaria

Памятник Советскому Солдату - освободителю. Центральная фигура - советский солдат с мечом и немецкой девочкой на руках. Мемориал открыт 8 мая 1949г. Сам Трептов парк расположен на набережной Шпрее.

Монументально . Цитаты Сталина в камне - редкость в наши дни.

Монумент является заключительной частью триптиха, состоящего также из монументов «Тыл — фронту» в Магнитогорске и «Родина-мать» на Мамаевом кургане.
