Absolutely the best biscuits and gravy ever! the red beans and rice was a portion of heaven! ! Cash only and BYOB . Limited seating so get there early to get a table or just sit at the counter.

Personal favorites are the biscuits with honey butter , Mac and cheese , chicken fried steak and be sure to leave room for desserts - they are ALL incredible. The bourbon pecan pie is unreal.

I had the very tasty pecan crusted catfish with dirty rice and vegetable medley. My 10 yr old was a little skeptical but tried a cup of the seafood gumbo with a side of hush puppies . Fantastic meal!!

The dishes are tasty & flavorful. The structure isn’t able to handle deep cold nor high heat. I’d go on a mild & pleasant day/night. I had my coat on as I sat in a booth , against outside facing wall.

Awesome, friendly staff ! Most places up here conceive of a pulled pork sandwich as something smothered in BBQ sauce ...they do it right here...flavorful, smoky meat.

Little southern gem on LI! I thought I was truly in NOLA! Loved the jambalaya , the grits + biscuits , and the BBQ of course.

Love the old fashioned dining car. Can't beat the BYOB . Try the Mac and cheese and the BBQ ribs ! The biscuit are huge and delicious.

This welcoming little Southern diner serves a chicken and andouille gumbo to awaken the sleepiest of palates. And the Cajun blackened catfish defines heat mellowed with sweet.

Try the Catfish and their desserts . Their decor needs to be updated and fixed, but the food is worth it I promise. Real Southern BBQ and home cooking .

This place is amazing, best short ribs I've ever had & I love the peach cobbler ! Joan and the staff are awesome!

Have the delicious Fried Okra and Alligator Sausage for an appetizer . The Molasses BBQ sauce is to die for. Sarah is a great waitress here.

Jambalaya omelette was so tasty! No way you'll leave hungry.

The muffuletta is twice as big as you think and three times as good. Shrimp po boy is a big winner too!
