Lives up to the hype. Possibly the best tacos I've ever had. Cash only and long lines so plan head. Over order but always get at least one order of the chorizo and cheese taco .
The best food south of the border I've ever had. No doubt! Thank you Isidoro for keeping it real for all these years. I regret not taking that job you offered me many years ago. A missed opportunity.
The chorizo and the hand made tortillas , best ever. Love the casual vibe . I'd eat there over Los Agaves any day.
Unforgettable! We'll always be happy to stand in line . It's going to be worth the wait. The time you spend looking at the menu chalkboard will set your mood. Bring cash.
This is, in fact, possibly the best food I’ve ever had in my life. Don’t miss the rajas or the chorizo and get ready to weep tears of joy.
This place is the bomb! there is a reason Katy Perry gives a shout out to this place in her song "This is how we do". My fave is the bacon cheese quesadilla !
Best tacos in Santa Barbara. Go simple: The fresh tortilla with avocado is a must. Otherwise just try whatever sounds good. One of Julia Child’s favorites.
Esquire: Julia Child made it iconic; wait in line for hand-pressed tortillas &sizzling pork &melted cheese &potent salsas ; Locals know: If special tamales or enchiladas on the chalkboard , get them
Bring your kid here and hypnotize them with the delicious food. The tamale , steak tacos and pork lomita were great. Rajas were so-so.
The best thing this place has going are its freshly made tortillas . Its platters are forgettable and usually doused in too much cream. Stick to the tacos and quesadillas and grab a Jamaica to drink.
The tacos , tostadas , salsas , and specialties are pretty much unmatched. Casual to the max, line up for delicious Mexican food served on plastic plates. Read more
Spectacular Mexican food . Not your typical fast food Americanized food . Try the rajas and Super-Rica Especial for something different but delicious!
What a gem! #10 #12 and #16 were on point- basically any one with cheese will do. #7 was a bit bland. Small portions so you can try a lot! And I did.
Sunset Magazine (July 2012) - Milpas St.'s Mexican dive is famous for serving freshly made antojitos. Try: La SuperRica Especial (marinated pork and cheese stuffed pasilla chile
"authentic " = super basic food + super long wait . Food was good if not quite great but be forewarned, especially if you are w/ kids or anyone who is super hungry. (ALSO: best bet for kids is quesidill Read more
Their horchata is the best I've ever found in Santa Barbara, and they are masters at pork ! Get the Super Rica Especial!
been eating here since 1982. Worth the wait in line . Superica especial and chorizo tacos . Willing to drive here from Idaho now!! Everything is delicious
Cash only , authentic Mexican food . My first time eating here I saw Rob Lowe dining with Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin. Great experience
It takes a little while, but well worth the wait. The meat is delicious and the menu contains lots of queso .
THE best tacos in town ! i always get #12 or the super rica special. i dont remember the #. best mexican food !
If I had to choose my final meal... it would be Super Rica.
If you are in the area, this is a must. Simple, delicious and so flavorful. Tacos done right.
yes the tacos , but the chorizo queso fundido and the tamales are also must-orders
Amazing food!!! Cash only . Julia Childs knows her mexican food . Authentic and and cheap .

Perfect spot for a quickie taco ! Delish. Park style bench eating, indoors.

Calabacitas! Pork tacos ! Everything!
Definitely order #11 & 12; stop by on Thursday for homemade chilaquiles . Worth the long wait . Cash only .
Adam devoured the La Super-Rica Especial. As seen on Travel Channel’s Man v. Food Nation.
We had the Super Rica and it was fantastic.
Everything is excellent at this place. I think this would be my last meal!
Go on Mondays and Thursdays - those are the days they serve chilaquiles ... insanely good spin on the traditional nachos .
When asked if you would like a small or large horchata , large is the correct answer.
My favorite is #16. Come with cash and don't be afraid to try a few things! This isn't your typical Mexican eatery (not the way most Americans think...)
Everything is good! Tortillas are made fresh when you order.
The guacamole is the bomb.... Number 18....
Hand made to order tortillas ? Yes please...also delicious pasillas!

Not worth the wait at all. Milpas St has 29 other great taquerias and these guys put put one helva lot of peppers on everything. Nice people, fair rate. Gr8 4 those of you that like waiting in line !
One of the best Taco places . Cant go wrong.
Excellent chuleta, and the lomito suizo is no slouch either. Gordita is spicy but no tears.
???? Tacos , Tacos , Tacos
Love this place. Everything is terrific!
Best horchata I have ever had, and I've tried em all. Great tamales . Cash only , and they don't serve chips .
Julia child made this taco stand famous by visiting and standing in line w everybody else! It is excellent and the more adventurous you get the better!
