This pagoda-style structure was built in 1885 by a Chinese contractor named Leong Choon Chong, and was originally used as a covered water tank to store potable water for the immediate vicinity. Today, it stands as an architectural oddity that continues to attract visitors to Teluk Intan.
Jalan Bandar 36000 Teluk Intan , Perak Malaysia
Very nice from the outside. It was closed when I was there for renovation. So don't miss the chance to go up the tower for a good view .
Entrance is FOC, open daily except Monday.. Reach the top to enjoy the scenic view of the town
A National heritage Pagoda style structured clock tower , free entrance. It stands at only 25m with 110 steps. Families spread out mats & have a picnic right on the square. Parking : plenty and easy
Same as the "Torre pendente di Pisa", The tower's tilt began during construction , caused by an inadequate foundation on ground too soft on one side to properly support the structure 's weight!
A famous landmark built in 1885, one & only in Malaysia
Originally built as water reservoir to cater the supply water of surrounding area; disband and become a clock tower .
Super crowded if it's the weekend, whereby across the road will have night market . Double crowded if it were during festive/public holiday.
Very peaceful and harmony township. Will come back again with my kids.
Love to visit monuments and historic sites
