Chai Bar

Best in SF. Similar to the Aussie dextrose powder chai . Not quite "proper" chai but no where near as sweet and sickly as the syrup served up elsewhere. Samovar has more authentic Indian masala .

Perhaps overpriced but delicious, and a great place to work with lots of natural light and outlets. People working there are also super nice. And fancy lemon water

You can choose between lots of different spice vs. sweet levels. I like the Sir Spice A Lot best, and recommend getting it with almond or oat milk . They also have solid breakfast sandwiches .

The chai is amazing and the selection is seemingly endless! Hazelnut milk ?! Grab an onigiri too! It's made in house. Animal positive!

Absolutely 100% no doubt the best I’ve experienced in my travels. It’s a bit out of the way if you’re downtown but worth walking a few extra blocks.

Had work leaving drinks here from 5-7pm and it was the perfect venue for them - fits a large group, has non-alcoholic and alcoholic drink options, not too loud and they serve excellent cookies

Bubble Chai Tea is the best! Spam onigiri is great too. They have now wifi too.

Be aware that the chai sold here is made from powder . It's not made fresh from scratch with brewed tea leaves. Beautiful space though.

Everyone will ask you to get the Tiger Spice chai ... nah.. get the Orca chai ; it's the same but much better. Best chai I've had.

Vanilla chai (sweet) and avocado toast , toast is plentiful and good for the price (currently $11) in this location

They can blend their chai mixes for you! The Tiger Spice with the Elephant Vanilla is a good one!

I get the tortoise green chai with chia seeds every time I see here. You can just grab and go from the fridge .

Really great tumeric chai . Open hours are weird though but worth the stop by if you can catch them open

Flamingo vanilla chai is outstanding! Sweet and tender flavor.

Love the look. Chai base is a little too sweet for me, but I enjoy the spicier varieties on ice.

If you like spicy but not too sweet, get boldly spiced chai with one of the nut milks . WiFi pw is tigerspice

Was super excited, but then threw it away. Iced Dirty Elephant. It was grainy and flavorless, not spicy or creamy. Disappointed to see they use a powder mixed with milk -- why not brew your own tea ?

Vanilla bubble chai is lovely but service was unreliable. Be prepared to wait a while!

Try all the David Rio chai flavors you wouldn't bother buying a whole canister of. :-)

Pretty good place if you are a chai person. You might want to emphasize "extra hot" if you are not ok with moderately hot drinks tough.

Expensive but large seating area makes it a good meet & chat spot. Staff seems confused so service is clunky.

Tiger Spice Chai - best chai I had.

They use powdered substances to make your "chai ". Absolutely gross tasting and I threw mine out. Make your own chai masala and taste the difference. I added ginger to mine and it wasn't strained, wtf?

This place is way too expensive for what it is, an inauthentic chai "bar" that provides chai that is not noteworthy and will burn the roof of your mouth off if not careful.

Say "yes" to a receipt. It has the bathroom code on it.
