The Cauberg is a hill situated in Valkenburg. It played an important role in the early development of tourism in Valkenburg. Many major tourist attractions are situated on or nearby the Cauberg.
The Cauberg is well known by the Amstel Gold Race taking place in April every year. Till 2013 the finish was on top of the Cauberg. Length of the climb is around 1200 m, with a maximum grade of 12%.
The Amstel Gold Race finishes on the Cauberg since 2003. During the race the riders have climbed the Cauberg two times before the final summit.
