Airy, bright , and a little gritty, this cafe is a great spot to flip through a book , grab a tea set , and hang. Rad art books , unique coffees and teas , and a seasonally rotating menu.
Lovely place to fine independent books and magazines, handy crafts and chill over a coffee before you catch your indie movie screening next door at BC!
I've been coming here since 2004 but after its recent renovation, I just love the open space & new design & it definitely has the best vibe - urban, subculture bent to it. worth checking out!
Good space, great art books , nice space to get work done. Love the lil plant corner. Nice selection of stationery.
Resided next to Broadway Cinematheque, Kubrick is a film bookstore , discstore and Fair Trade cafe all in one place. Its name is derived from Staley Kubrick, a famous American director.
It’s a nice arty bookshop with a laid back feel but the books are not organized that clearly. That said I picked up an interesting book on cycling I hadn’t seen before
Awesome hideout for a quiet afternoon or getting some good reads from the store. Love the sun shines into the space and the good vibe of it.
No WiFi ????. But amazing book store with local and international selections of books and mags
Has outlets and great for working. There's no wi-fi but surely you have been able to buy a cheap fast data sim to tether your phone by this point right?
Great cafe with decent coffee , you know they want you to stay when there's a power plug next to most counter seats .
Coffee is normal. However it is still a nice place for meet friends, if my friends late, will find the book I like in here.
The gorgeous decor and open space will put you at ease, perfect for cozy dinner with friends or a solo afternoon tea session.
Hot Honey Almond Tea topped with cinnamon almond flakes whipped cream
Great coffee and a nice spot to chill/sit and work. the menu is slightly pricey tho and the service is blehh
Esperesso single and double. Smooth. Good books and zines in the bookstore (have to buy them to read in the cafe .)
They don't let you get hand drip coffee as a takeaway as it is intended to be enjoyed seated. Respect.
Intresting place, but a lot of people and prices very high.
wonderful little place to spend the afternoon
I've ordered an iced chocolate and it tastes fantastic.
Some serenity in this wild city . The pasta is really good too!
After renovation this cafe looks much better, and food more expensive , while the "artistic " feel has somehow worn off. I prefer the old cafe but I know the world have to move on.
Casual place with interesting selection of books . Not enough seating in cafe , no WiFi , and slightly high prices are a drawback; however.
Spacious and comfortable . Quality food and coffee !
Comparing to the coffee/food they serve, I think I am happier to see the books .
A decent place to spend time with books and coffee .
Books and coffee - great combination.
single origin hand drip coffee
Nice place, shame no wifi
Coffee was far too bitter, food was good, but dishes are all very simple, although portions are big
The smoked salmon spaghetti and cinnamon toast a la mode are my absolute favorites!
surprisingly eggy carbonara lol
Cool vibe. No wifi .
The espresso float is awesome!:)
Nice hangout. They use nice bread for their sandwiches but there's not much filling for a $60+ price tag.
Really worth becoming a Kubrick member - food discounts and BOGOF cinema tickets : )
fav place to hang out before a movie . pastas and toast are great!
nice atmosphere. overpriced food for its quality tho.
Try the Cream of Brocolli Soup
The service is really, really slow here
I had a Waldorf salad . It's tasteless and with no walnut . Disappointed.
おっしゃれ〜な映画館 の横にあるカフェ で、マロン ケーキ を頂きました!びっしりマロン クリームが???? First time to try their Chestnut Cream cake!! SO MUCH CREAM IN EACH LAYER!!! Below $50 as i remember haha..... ITS WORTH IT !!! MUST TRY!
has open area n foods are good n not expensive, a nice place for relax! - Karrie Lee
Nice Coffee, free WiFi & relaxed atmosphere... plus some interesting designer products to shop - Ivan Vania
Best cinema in town. And right next door = Kubrick Cafe, film books and a nice cafe to hang out before/after a movie. - Eva Schindling
Great place to buy fresh fruit and veg. (No meat or fish here) You can find lots of Chinese herbs and traditional vegetables. - Matt Glastonbury
Very cool book store with an interesting selection of English and Chinese language books with a film and design focus. - David Strasser
