I had never come to the 5th floor until today. I usually took one of the box on the 3rd floor. Personally, I feel that I can concentrate more when surrounded by stacks of books on 5th floor.
The big cubbie like desks on the 3rd floor were my favorite, hard to get a spot past 8pm, especially during exam time- when you do they're the best! And reserve study rooms ahead of time, for sure.
Check out the Prof David Brown Memorabilia Museum on the ground floor (left of main entrance) - a @GWalumni must see

Fourth floor quiet room is always empty before 11 on the weekends. If you have a lot of work, show up at 10 and keep your spot all day.
They rearranged the desks on the third floor. Generally a good place to hide from the world during April and May.
Fifth floor, go straight, take a right, go all the way down and take a left. The back corner seating is always free! And the chair's are comfy too!
You can reserve study rooms up to 2 weeks in advance. Remember that for midterms and finals.
very partial to the sixth floor comfy chairs but that's the only floor i've been on so far :)
They always have book that i need or they will accommodate
Sitting next to windows keeps you from feeling like you're working in a box.
