Uris is open to the public during the week, but you will need a Columbia University ID on the weekends.
In the early 60s the University tore down University Hall to build Uris Hall. Architecture students picketed the construction with signs that said “No more ugly buildings at Columbia.”
When you step in, just be aware that D's NUTS!
Avoid Uris Deli at all costs. Go next door (and downstairs) to the Architecture School Cafe for an infinitely more palatable lunch .

Do not get the coffee anywhere in Uris. Tastes like mold. Seriously. In the deli and the specialized cafe . Both stink. Literally.
