National Civil War Museum

Outstanding museum . Takes you through the entire war in a very interactive exhibit experience. Highly recommend for the history buff or the general learner. It's a great experience.

Located in the state’s capital, the National Civil War Museum houses collections of more than 24,000 artifacts of manuscripts, documents, and photographs that portray America during the Civil War.

This museum has complete information of the Civil War at high level, including its cause, progress, and outcome. Thus allows me to grasp the big picture, and not a small piece of it.

The National Civil War Museum portrays the events of the Civil War as a timeline - from the issues straining the nation, to the conclusion of the war at Appomattox Court House.

Educators receive discounted admission. Be sure to ask when you buy your tickets. You will need to show ID to receive the discount .
