J Alexander's Restaurant

I've been going to J. Alexander's for 20 years. Whenever the food or service gets stale, they renovate. It's a great American staple and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

We have not been here in a while for dinner since I was not happy with the Prime Rib the last two times. Gave it another try and it was excellent!! They have been put back on the return to list.

Awesome food and service. My only complaint is we always make reservations and every time we have to wait 20-30 minutes still. What's the point of taking reservations then?

Love the veggie burger , best I've ever had! The sides are always wonderful also and worth a try. The Grilled Artichoke starter is fab

Great food and service. My faves include - Queso , Fish Tacos , Grilled Artichokes , Rattlesnake Pasta , Tortilla Soup , all the steaks are fabulous. The Pomegranate Martini is amazing.

The #primerib is amazing, served with an awesome horseradish sauce , au jus and mashed potatoes .

You must try the artichokes - they are delicious and the rattlesnake pasta is amazing.

Everything. Been for lunch and dinner and not had a bad bite of food.

Key lime pie is amazing and the french dip is the best in chicago too bad its an appetizer size

Out of this world carrot cake .

Ask for Megan . Excellent service , funny and hot. The place smells a little like a petting zoo but the food is great.

Biggest mound of fries I've ever seen! Also, definitely always order the Mac n Cheese . Creamy deliciousness.

Wine tip : order a glass of The Prisoner listed under Zinfandel . Not too many places serve this great wine .

Prime rib is the best in town . There is no other comparison.
