Clementinum is a historic and protected site Staré Město Prague located in Czech Republic.
Mariánské nám. 190/5 (Karlova 190/1) 110 00 Prague Czech Republic
A sample of world classics and Czech music history. Klementinum is an astonishing mix of history, beauty and views . The Library itself is a baroque wonder-you will feel pushed back in centuries
The library is beautiful, shame they don't allow you in. The views from the top of the tower are amazing (if you can brave the steep stairs!)
Be aware that you cannot enter the baroque library nor take any photos even from the entrance. However, the astronomical tower offers stunning views of the city . A bit pricy and not so recommended.
You can just look into the library and photos are not allow. It's very steap stairs (totally 172 steps) to both the library and the tower.
It’s very expensive and you can’t walk into the library or take pictures (makes no sense). Having said that, the view at the end is breathtaking. Go during a sunny day (when I went it was rainy)
A must do! Take a look inside the beautiful baroque library with different astronomical clocks. Multi-language guide shows you around in the klementium, tower and library in 45 minutes.
The medieval library is incredible. Take the guided tour , its history is half of its interestThe view is great too
The Baroque Library dates back to 1727 and is worth visiting, especially if you like a fairytale-like atmosphere.
The only way to get in is paying the guided tour , only 25 people group every half hour, the tour last 50min, they ran out of tickets for the day by noon, and then they’ll sell tickets for next day
A visit at the National Library is a must in Prague. The tour includes the tower which gives a great view of the city !
It’s a Rip-off! 600Kc for two. Can’t photograph the main library , but can buy a 30Kc postcard! Lots of climbing narrow dangerous steps -which I couldn’t climb!
impressive library but you can only see for few minutes from the door, no entrance
Mind that you can not freely browse through the Baroque library as it's under strict supervision (humidity, temperature etc.) so you'll see it from a porch at the entrance.
This Library is in the top 5 Most Beautiful Libraries of the World list. It was truly amazing to see it in person.
It's not allowed to take photos of the Baroque library , so better buy a prospect/postcard at the entrance so that you can have some memories :)
One of the must see places in Prague!
Beautiful view from the astronomic tower . But nothing else really interesting ????
I fall in love with the library ????????
For organ music finders: Here is small church organ . Main music theme play 2 violins and 1 cello. Musicians skill is poor. One ticket costs 500 czk.
Great view from the top of the tower
Visit for a classical music concert
Advent concert yesterday was very nice, today Vivaldi 4 Seasons
Beautiful baroque library
Kepler’in astroloji çalışmalarını yaptığı yer. Buradaki kütüphane birçok ankette dünyanın en iyi kütüphanesi seçilmiş.
Impressive space, academic atmosphere, poor wifi and surprisingly helpful and friendly staff... I like it here:) - Magdalena Mrázková
A beatiful place to listen to beautiful music. Really worth the effort. - JG Hofland
If you take the tour here don't expect to find yourself inside the library hall. You'll only be allowed to look inside the hall from a doorway. Though the view from the tower is nice. - Viktor Molokostov
Every hour there's a guided tour in English. You can't take photos, but it's one of the most interesting places in Prague. You'll also climb about 100 steps to the tower to see the city panorama. - Евгения Агаджанова
Perfect place for walks, running and even cross-country skiing in winter. - LukaSH
What I can say - you have to see it all - view, cathedral, parks,... On of the most beautiful places in Prague. Good for runner early morning ???? - Veronika
