Birmingham Museum Of Art

Unquestionably one of the most underrated, fantastic "secrets" of our lil' metropolis.. Must visit - one of the few FREE (donations very appreciated, of course).

The art in general was beautiful. The staff was friendly . Admission is free however I suggest donating five bucks per person to help keep it free. One of my favourite museums so far.

Had food here and it was amazing. We had the excellent beef burger with sweet potato fries and the blackened mackerel which was stunning.

I went for First Thursday. So many different exhibits you can easily be here for a few hours. Then head downstairs to the rest/bar

A collection of 98 "lover's eyes" - miniature eye paintings framed by jewels exchanged among the British aristocracy in the 1700s - are on display at the Birmingham Museum of Art until June 10.

Excellent atmosphere for just a stroll through the garden or the entire museum . A must see on your visit to Birmingham!

The selection of different styles of mediums is great. From pottery to 16th century oil paintings to Asian furniture .

The cafe 's chicken salad sandwich is very good and big enough for two people, if you want to save money by splitting lunch with a friend.

Don't take pictures with art work. Because you WILL get yelled at by a very mean lady.
