Go there in winter, the forest is really quiet , very nice place. But the sky isn't that blue on that day, otherwise will be awesome!!

富士五胡・精進湖 と西湖の間に広がり、富士山の側火山 による貞観噴火（864年）の溶岩の上に常陽葉の木々が生い茂っていて、地面は緑の苔が生えた岩肌と張り出した木々の根っこで凸凹している。
ご覧の通りの土壌で木 は成長しても頭一本出すと風で倒されちゃう。均等なそれを上から見ると風になびく状態がさも海の様というのが名前の由来らしい。
自然探索コース があるので気軽に散策出来ますがそれ以外には出ない方がいいです
入るときは、ＧＰＳに頼らないで。 アナログな方法ですが、目印をつけてく方が確実。 単独はだめ。
本栖湖 の眺めが素晴らしいです。
