Fastest way to backbowls & blue sky basin .... Start at gold peAk! 16 to 10 to 14. You'll sAve at least 20 min v vail village or lions head start. But DONT share my secret! Think snow!

Ride the gondola to the top of the ski mountain and walk down amid colorful wildflowers , or for a more heart-pumping adventure, hike up the mountain and catch the gondola back down.

Free grill your own meat at the top on lift 4 outside the hut. Put a streak in your pocket and enjoy an amazing lunch on top of the mountain !

Probably my most favorite ski resort so far (although there are lots of catwalks????). Absolutely love the "Christmas " blue run.

The hiking and mountain biking trails are amongst the best in Colorado. Skiing the back bowls is a must in Winter.

Try skiing in UT(Alta/Snowbird), MT(Big Sky), WY(Jackson), CA(Mammoth/Kirkwood/Tahoe) and Canada(Whistler/Revelstoke), they are all better than anything Vail or Colorado has to offer.

Vail's gondola is open for mountain biking & disc golf . Best thing is the bar at the top of the gondola is offering $2.50 tap beers during the World Cup . They have Stella & the best view !

Gondola opens 8:30 and employees sometimes go up for First tracks . Lions square has ski butlers who I Love

The best place to ski in North America?, hell yeh. Bigger than any other mountain and lot of bowels to explore.

Back Bowls, Back Bowls, Back Bowls are sooo sweet for the entire family. Steeps on the sides, groomed runs down the middle. Perfect!

Hike the Berry Picker trail (the name is deceiving) and ride the gondola down for free.

Bowls, double diamonds and snow bunnies are more prevalent here than any other mountain in Colorado.

Amazing resort ! Huge & pretty busy, but def a must try if you're visiting!

Prima to Pronto beckons on a powder day ! In summer, catch a free gondola ride to Eagle's Nest and hike up to the Windows deck for a place to relax with some beautiful views !

Expensive parking , wonderful snow and trails !! Try the black trails on the Blue Sky Basin, with open spaces and high, high speed!

Vail is great but always crowded . Look for the back Bowls to ride faster chairs.

Tell the Governor to open up. Food does not carry the virus. Follow the science!

Both Riva Ridge and Blue Ox are freshly groomed for Thursday mornings. If you’re looking to cruise , head there first!

Try parking near the City Market and Safeway along the frontage road before you go and shell out $25 to the Town of Vail for garage parking . There aren't many spots so get there early.

Blue Sky basin will usually be empty - even on busy days.

Expansive terrain that seems never ending. Another piece of heaven

Eagles nest for lunch . Cheaper and fewer children. Children ruin everything.

It takes a solid hour but on a powder you want to get to Blue Sky Basin in the trees off Pete's Chair.

It will take you at least 2 days to cover all the trails . Awesome runs.
