Kansas City Zoo & Aquarium

Great zoo . Visiting KC from DC area and found KC zoo better than the National Zoo . Lot of animals in a better natural setting which makes it more fun for visitors and better for the animals.

The sky safari has been an excellent edition. Even when it is hot it makes seeing the Africa area easy. The tram is free on hot days. And the newer indoor exhibits . Make it more friendly year round.

Very nice zoo , and very large. Plan on spending at least 3 hours if you want to see everything. We did it in about 2.5 but we were rushed and it was raining so there were very few people there.

My favorite thing about the KC Zoo is that they have a ski-lift type thing that takes you on a ride above the animal enclosures , so you get a great view .

This place is amazing! Beautiful exhibits tons of animals, make sure that you see the penguins they are amazing!!

Bring a backpack with your own snacks and drinks if you're trying to cut spending. And get the family membership. The unlimited tram and carousel rides are more than worth it!

In really cold weather most animals won't be seen but don't think a trip will be a bust. There's still a lot to explore. Polar Bear Passage , Helzberg Penguin Plaza , and the Discovery Barn for example.

Really nice zoo , the polar bears are neat when they dive into pool to look at people thru the glass while under water.

Animals are really good and trained at the zoo,they are also truly adorable,i love the tigers.

According to my daughter the African Sky Safari is the best and I would have to agree. Koalas were pretty cool too.

The penguin exhibit is an awesome place. The penguins put on a good show.

The make polar bear is awesome! He loves the crowd. See him while you can, he's moving across the country in fall 2015.

They're doing a great job renovating. Now one of the best family values in KC.

The sea lion and elephant shows are the best. Make sure to pay attention to what days/times the trainers will be there, that way you can see all their tricks!

At the sea lion show don't worry about getting a seat in the stands! Standing around the edge is just as good if not better!

Bring your walking shoes . The KC Zoo is big!

Get Platinum ticker and focus on tram , train , carousel, and African Sky Ride as your milestones and enjoy the zoo as you go.

Great place to get lots of walking in. Go rested. Enjoyed rides; although, a little pricey .

Check out the air-conditioned SOAR bird show visiting over the summer. All my kids loved it.

The polar bear is good at doing tricks. He can stand and sit and do back flips.

I've been going here for 30 yrs and I'm happy to share it with my son.

Not only is the zoo fun to visit but also support. They offer a number of events for everyone in family!

So strange, but the zoo 's seasoned fries are legit awesome.

Very worth it.

Prepare for the walk. Lots of walking in non animal areas to get to animals. Much of the zoo you end up walking and not seeing anything , then you have to backtrack. Poor route planning. Ok zoo .

This is a nice place 2 go 2 and see the monkeys in Kansas City.

The polar bear exhibit is EASILY the best. Go say hi and see him.

Take tram to Africa and do Sky Safari early. Lines get long fast.

Feed the lorikeets. First 30 at the top of every hour get to feed them.

The New Tram over Africa is short but sweet....is a must if your at the zoo
