Well known, well located, city lunch spot for bankers , lawyers and such having business lunches . Not discreet except for big booths in back. Cooking is competent and traditional.
Loved the domed skylight over the bar ; in contrast, the event room downstairs was not particularly special and can hear kitchen noise when the door gets opened (eg, when the server brings food)
Breakfast in a nice setting. Fast friendly service . Lovely space. A pretty wide choice (the egg options are languishing at the bottom of the menu - almost missed them). Nice coffee .

Wonderful dining experience. Super friendly staff and great wine recommendations.
B etween Cornhill and Lombard Street there is a maze of narrow passageways and alleys created so that messengers could flit to and fro between all the different businesses that were based around here
In general the food is good. There are a few meals that are a hit and miss. Many of the patrons are quite pretentious due to it being in the Banking District.
One of the best Dover Soles I've ever had.....filleted by the waiter and smothered with shrimps in butter
Spiced pineapple , chilli and coriander sauce and coconut sorbet .. Combination tastes incredible.. An absolutely brilliant explosion of flavours.
Lombard Street is the banking centre of the city , it is named after the goldsmiths of Lombardy who settled here after being granted the land by King Edward I in the 12th century.
Poshest breakfast in town , awesome coffee , and very friendly staff . Highly recommended.
The brunch here is amazing value for money , come hungry!
Very good business lunch . Food was surprisingly competent.
Ordered latte macchiato and the waiter asked if that's a latte or macchiato ?! Then he decided to bring me a macchiato which is 4x stronger than a latte macchiato - not exactly what I wanted at 10pm!
Great brasserie in heart of City of London. Service was top
Coconut mouse and natural joghurt is a sensation.
Great for a quiet drink in the City
Tasting menu has excellent choices. However, the staff can be quite pretentious .
Great for breakfast - the Muesli looked like dessert !
Fabulous airy dining room
Food is great
The scallops are truly delicious!
Delicious muesli
Overpriced banker hangout, but a nice skylight nonetheless
Nice degustation menu...excellent surroundings
Bangers and mash was poor.

I can recommend the sharing cheese fondue as well as the burger, all washed down with their Tanner & Co beer. - Matt King
