Well known, well located, city lunch spot for bankers , lawyers and such having business lunches . Not discreet except for big booths in back. Cooking is competent and traditional.

Matthew

Loved the domed skylight over the bar ; in contrast, the event room downstairs was not particularly special and can hear kitchen noise when the door gets opened (eg, when the server brings food)

Breakfast in a nice setting. Fast friendly service . Lovely space. A pretty wide choice (the egg options are languishing at the bottom of the menu - almost missed them). Nice coffee .

Wonderful dining experience. Super friendly staff and great wine recommendations.

B etween Cornhill and Lombard Street there is a maze of narrow passageways and alleys created so that messengers could flit to and fro between all the different businesses that were based around here

JD Malone

In general the food is good. There are a few meals that are a hit and miss. Many of the patrons are quite pretentious due to it being in the Banking District.

One of the best Dover Soles I've ever had.....filleted by the waiter and smothered with shrimps in butter

Madhubala Naicker

Spiced pineapple , chilli and coriander sauce and coconut sorbet .. Combination tastes incredible.. An absolutely brilliant explosion of flavours.

Alex Ravenel

Very good business lunch . Food was surprisingly competent.

Wendy

Ordered latte macchiato and the waiter asked if that's a latte or macchiato ?! Then he decided to bring me a macchiato which is 4x stronger than a latte macchiato - not exactly what I wanted at 10pm!

Very Good Service

Great brasserie in heart of City of London. Service was top

Thomas Stumpp
