Perfect little breakfast bites. The homemade jams , giant latte bowls and Eggs Benedict are all good but I think everything is good - it’s hard to choose
On a lazy Saturday morning head to Caffe 817 in Old Oakland for a breakfast of poached eggs , olive tapenade and toasted levain. Add a latte bowl or cappuccino for the perfect start to your day! Read more
Polenta , eggs , and chorizo is always a win, and that's the case at this cute nook. The corned beef hash was worthy, too.
A decent weekend brunch spot without a line ?? Creative, savory, Italian-centric breakfasts (read: different types of polenta and baked eggs ). Good cappuccino . I'll be back.
A nice cafe for a weekend brunch/lunch, with half the seats outside . Serving coffee roasted down the street. Definitely a eat/chat location, not for plopping down with a laptop.
Try the lattes , italian steamed eggs with olivetta, handmade yogurt and granola , or sandwiches and salads . The new owners are awesome, and really care about locally sourced and handmade foods.
Polenta and blue cheese is amazing if you LOVE blue cheese . Home-made jams and great bread and A quick walk from convention center
The various poached eggs on garlic toast are surprisingly delicious given their simplicity.
Salads are huge and sandos are delicious and filling!!
Fantastic service. Love the breakfast foods here, and the cappuccino was incredible!
This place is quickly becoming my favorite cafe around my work. Amazing coffee (Mr.Espresso)!
Iced coffee is good enough to drink without embellishments!! Polenta and baked eggs , is substantially nom-my without being heavy.
Prosciutto and a poached egg on garlic toast is a wonderful breakfast .
Best Eggs Benedict I've had. Not bad–looking either.
Great coffee and locally sourced food at reasonable prices. This place is an undiscovered gem.
Serving vegetarian specials everyday, also offering 10% off vegetarian sandwiches during Oakland Veg Week, April 15-21, 2012.
Get a piece of their homemade chocolate chip cookie with your coffee .
Their jam is my jam
Corned beef hash made on premises, not from a can, best ever.
Their poached eggs are fantastic. Great coffee and espresso too.
House coffee is good, not great, but free refills!
Love the furniture inside. Reclaimed hard wood and steel 👌
Poached egg with Gorgonzola is the best!!
Eggs with polenta and blue cheese . Yum.
Rich & delicious polenta . House-cured corned beef !
Read the negative ti, & can't agree. Love my latte & sandwich , & service was good.
Wifi password is hotcoffee
Great place, good coffee , fantastic furniture .
Always good jazz music .
Don't come on a Sunday unless you have nothing to do with your day. Waited for an hour for my food. Eventually just asked for my money back cuz I got sick of waiting
Lunch ham sandwich was good.
Awesome architecture & furniture here - like the photo show... See it!
House coffee is meh...would pass.
Enter at your own risk. Sit down but don't get comfortable ... The owner will switch you to a new table shortly ... Or just throw you out mid meal. She is truly a horrible person in an awful cafe .
Over 30 min wait for a take out sandwich . 😠
Every sandwich I've tried is amazing & the homemade spicy sausage is truly something special. - Andy Kaufman
Their cakes are fantastic. The chocolate one with toffee and salted caramel drizzled on top-- mmm. - Jeanine Shimatsu
Delicious sandwiches. Specialty chips and sodas are great too. Soup, not so much. - Rebecca Wang
Great, local produce, super fresh and all at good prices. Come at lunch time when the vendors are cooking up pizza, falafels and more! Fridays 8:00am to 2:00pm. Year Round. - Jesse Budlong
