Best place in New Jersey to go for a hike , have a picnic and watch the sunset . There are spectacular scenic views of the Delaware Water Gap and mountains in the distance. 🌅
Taking the red up isn't exactly a walk in the park but the views along the way are worth it. Just be sure to take the blue down and check out the views along the waster.
Red trail nearest highway. Summit at red-blue meet great photo op. Dogs- experienced climber/hiker, traverse logs, rock scrambles creeks. Excellent hike ! Well marked trail rigorous, yet safe.
One of the best natural wonders of New Jersey . Arrive as early as possible and enjoy your day here. It's open 24/7 so you can night hike without worry.
This is an EXTREMELY tough (and rewarding) hike -- we descended 700 feet in just 15 minutes of the hike . Highly recommend for experienced hikers but maybereconsider if you're not so hike-savvy.
Awesome views . Takes about 3 hours to hike red, white and blue trails .
Entrapment:They'll ticket you if you park anywhere along the curb inside the lot. No signs saying "No Parking " or "Parking in Designated Spots only" etc. They'll close the entrance to the lot often
Took the red dot to the blue dot trail . It was tough! Very rocky and steep going up but not terrible coming down. Recommend going up the red and coming down blue.
Nice view ! Not an easy hike but worth it!
The most beautiful trails and sites. My German shepherd loved it, even the rock climbing trail !!!!
PA - You are the best. WiFi from the Pennsylvania welcome center is available at the Mt.Tammany summit .
The red dot trail is steep, but not super intense. Beautiful view at the top.
Go up the red trail for a challenge and return on the blue trail for an easier decline.
Beautiful hike but minimal parking . Be advised.
It's easier to go up on the red dot trail and come back down on the blue
Good workout, and only takes 3 hours total
Use the grey dot if you're not a girl...or fat.
It is fun. It isn't too rocky.
The red trail (the easier hike ) is to the right of the parking lot . It's easy to end up on the Blue trail (very difficult climb) if you're not careful.
Very short walk and the sound of the waterfall is really soothing! - T
