The thing that makes this pond so great is you have to hike four miles to get to it. Thus it eliminates most of the riffraff, leaving you to have this place mostly to yourself.
Orange trail is 1.3 miles but all uphill. Steep. Then along the pond is all rocks. The lake at the parkingl is more scenic .
Perfect spot for a picnic ! There's a nice shaded area on the westernmost tip of the pond !
The 4 mile hike is well worth it. It's a beautiful place to relax or hang out.
Beautiful spot for a lunch break.
