This 3 centuries old carriage house provides a high level service with freshly picked roses & a live piano player . Seared Foie Gras , Beef Wellington , Chocolate Soufflé , & Mille Feuille were delicious.
If you’re looking for a quiet , romantic night with a loved one, look no further. Great wine list and surprisingly good cocktails . Tasting menu is more reasonable than restaurants of similar quality.
A dim, intimate ambiance complete with candlelit tables and live piano music make it the epitomic romantic restaurant . While the food falls short in some areas, the Beef Wellington is worth an order.
Go here for a romantic dinner , or come in and sit casually by one of the fire places while listening to the live pianist . Don't forget to grab a glass of wine , beer or cocktail from the bar ;)
This upscale restaurant is perfect for a classy , romantic night out. Live piano , candlelit tables, and courteous service . Start with the pretzel bread and get the beef wellington for the main course.

Romantic atmosphere , wonderful service. Prices are special occasion worthy. Delicious food, plates are perfectly sized. Really enjoyed the scallops & beef wellington .
Loved it! Perfect place for a romantic dinner ❤️ food and service are perfect. Really worth the price. The Wellington fillet is outstanding!
One of the most romantic restaurants in the city . A great place to go for an anniversary. Try the beef Wellington as part of the Prix Fix menu for $78.
Tucked away in a historic 18th Cent. carriage house in the West Village , this romantic restaurant has been the setting for countless cozy dinners since it opened in 1972. A fireplace & grand piano.
Romantic , lovely piano playing, cozy seating ...and supposedly very charming at Christmas with tree and holiday lights.
Tucked away in historic 18th-century carriage house in West Village , this romantic restaurant has been setting for countless cozy dinners since it opened in 1972. Has crackling fireplace & a piano.
Very disappointing. If a restaurant is going to charge obscene prices they better be able to justify it. This place fails on every level. Beautiful setting but that's where it ends. Save your money.
The most romantic restaurant in nyc and the food is delicious! Rack of lamb !
Perfect for a special occasion ! Beautiful and shocking quiet atmosphere
amazing place, beautiful and has its own seporate vegetarian dishes , i wish more tourists would come here instead of the places by times square and get a better vision of NYC
brunch was ok. Egg Arcadia (poached eggs with lobster cake ) good apart from one of the eggs was a bit over cooked. pastries were not warm, a bit disappointing. music/drinks were the best.
Just really excellent food and drink. Very consistent, every piece of every dish was VERY good.
Date spot , cozy downstairs to get a cocktail , great selection of after dinner treats, fireplace too.
Chestnut , venison ragout tagliatelle & the Korean short ribs are delicious! Try & catch restaurant week here. The value is too good to pass up.
The tunnels that run underneath One if by Land, Two if by Sea were used to get contraband food to the British during the Revolutionary War &, later, to help slaves escape on the Underground Railroad.
Bummed with the lack of service and food consistency Valentines Day weekend. I thought this was one of NYC's most romantic restaurants ?!!?
Yo straight up dope... Great food great decor esp if you want to impress the lady, also good spot for popping the big Q. Very romantic and intimate . Can also have a very nice dinner with family.
Get the table by the windowed facing the garden . Very romantic . The red velvet is out of this world.
Its super romantic and cozy and food is good! A bit overprized but okay you pay for the atmosphere!
Amazing, great, fantastic! Really good food
If you want to pamper your gal in NY, run over to One if by land, Two if by Seas for the delicious beef wellington and great wine list - Patti Stanger, Millionaire Matchmaker
If you want one of those superb spots with a courtyard view try going late. Some spots open up 10/10:30 ish
Request an order of the pretzel bread (from the bar menu). Comes out hot with melted gruyere and a rich mustard dip !
Perfect, romantic atmosphere for a special celebration. Tasting menus was outstanding.
Not kidding when they say MOST ROMANTIC. I was looking for something romantic , this bordered on mushy or cheesy in my opinion. Really nice, completely beautiful but INTENSE.
Amazing service!! Messed up my entree, but ended up giving us three extra desserts . Plus, you can't go wrong with any of the food.
Very quaint. Excellent food and service. Romantic . Historical.
Pure romance. That the food is delicious is icing on the cake . Treat yourself!
You can't beat a nightcap and baby grand piano. Do it.
Beef Wellington made to perfection
Wine pairing is more than sufficient and the food is delicious!
romantic spot for drinks with a piano player and fireplaces at the bar
Try the Dulce De Leche & Caramel Corn Ice Cream Sundae - Final course of the best meal of Restaurant Week thus far.
One of the best places to propose in NYC! Very romantic and wonderful service!
Definitely a romantic venue with candelit tables, live music , and a pretty garden !
Have the beef Wellington and chocolate souffle . Waiter John is very nice. Ask for a table in the back.
Cozy piano bar by the fireplace . I like the main room on the first floor best.
Ambience, solid cocktails , special occasions
An old stable , and a smithy...but Burr's connection is questionable. Food is outstanding. Enjoy! Read more
