Stayed the night in the Charles Dickens room which was very nice. The fried chicken , ham , cobbler , and apple pie were delicious. Very friendly staff ! Will be back!
The food is AMAZING. We had their famous fried chicken and the turkey , dressing and mashed potatoes . Everything was tender and delicious! We topped it off with sugar pie and creme brûlée - Wow!
We stayed in the George W. Bush room and it was lovely. When Barbara Bush stayed here, she requested that the canopy bed be moved down from the fourth floor. Thus, it now resides in her son’s room.

Trivia night in the Black Horse Tavern (in the Golden Lamb) on Wednesday nights. Best Friday Fish Fry--Perch and Slaw with Potato cakes for $10. Brilliant.
Opened in 1803, Golden Lamb has had over 200 years to accumulate haunted history. The story of Sarah Stubbs, niece of the hotel 's manager, whose ghost appears as a young girl in a white nightgown.
Lamb meatloaf & braised shortrib were wonderful. Service from Joe and Asst. Manager Tim was excellent!
Once you attach your political views to your place of business it definitely becomes a thorn in your side… And I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that this would not be a good place to patronize
They cook salmon perfectly. It melts in your mouth.
