A must visit for art lovers who travel to hamburg! Good exhibitions , nice atmosphere,easy to reach using public transportation . Islamic art part and Japaness section is quite good.

get a short rest with chocolate drink in their cafe if you feel tired. the museum is huge with many rooms to explore.

Awesome collection in a size able museum . A nice place you can get lost in. Excellent Japanese collection.

Many things to see, few people to disturb you. The art deco and art nouveau period rooms are just fabulous.

Lovely museum , but the Jugendstil department was closed (I really wanted to see that) - and you still have to pay the full price...

Immer wieder kommen und immer wieder was neues entdecken. Die Ausstellung "Krieg und Propaganda" ist riesig!

Разнообразная и очень стильно оформленная экспозиция . 10 евро стоят того, вы не заскучаете. В уголке, посвященном самураям , можно порубиться в приставку )

3 Sachen: man kann jetzt mit Karte zahlen. Die Sonderausstellungen sind großartig. Das Gebäude ist unübersichtlich und mittelgut ausgeschildert.

Даже если не любите античность, сходите посмотреть на египетских котов на первом этаже . На втором -- очень вкусная кухня .

Sehr interessant: die gut erhaltenen Zahlungsmethoden aus den 60er Jahren, die von passiv-aggressiven Mitarbeitern mit dem Leben verteidigt werden, sobald man ihnen eine EC-Karte anbietet.

Das wohl am besten mit dem ÖPNV erreichbare Museum in Hamburg und so ganz nebenbei echt sehenswerte Ausstellungen .

Mit den Kleinen unterwegs? Im Hubertus Wald Kinderreich im UG können sich Kinder (und Eltern) ab ca. 5 Jahren am Wochenende stundenlang geistreich betätigen. Geheimtipp für verregnete Sonntage .

Die wechselnden Ausstellungen sind sehr zu empfehlen. Wer ne Pause braucht, es gibt auch ein Restaurant .

Groß, relativ unübersichtlich - unbedingt Gebäudeplan am Empfang mitnehmen. Ausstellungen sind hervorragend.

Die Fotoausstellung von Steve McCurry ist, wie der Titel schon verrät, einfach überwältigend !!!

Eine Million Exponate aus aller Welt. Kunsthandwerk , Möbel und Fayencen sind in dem schlossartigen Gebäude angehäuft.

Immer schön die Schuhe ausziehen.
