Don't go shopping on pension day if you value your sanity. A lot of drop kicks are starting to increase. Bogan mothers with 6 kids are the worst. Shops are great but the standard of people is poor.
Don't leave any valuables in your car. It will get broken into.
If you like avoiding crowds when grocery shopping the Coles here is really good, always ready to lend a helping hand. There are a few cafes too and the local sushi train is small but offers plenty :) - Chris McKellar
Quite easy to access by bicycle along the SE Bikeway. A few bike racks to choose from even on Thursday night - a couple of them under cover closer to the main entrances. Better than Indro or Queen St! - Raymond Io
