This place always has a great mix of people, some of the most friendliest bar staff and quite possibly the best food for a pub ever. Always a great night and recommended to anyone wondering by.
Friendly staff , good selection of ales and food. We used the party room upstairs and we were royally treated for a group of 14 people for a birthday celebration.

Always lots of beards here. Not 'beards' as in ladies used to mask one's true sexual preference but beards as in hairy chins. Although there could be the other type too - difficult to tell really.

The Potted mackerel starter is dead good.
Food and beer is awesome, however let down by poor service, wrong meal brought out followed a 35 minute wait then told to wait 10 mins for replacement. Bad day at the office maybe?
