Go to the new area, a research center. It's interactive, they have videos you can watch, games you can play, and a 3 story screen that shows clips! it is like a whole other museum ! Gift shop and cafe .
Highly educational & such fabulous exhibitions . It always proves to be a delightful escape for those science hungry minds, & it's exceptionally fun for families & children!
Where can you find a fossilized heart, a 2-story waterfall & hummingbirds & butterflies zipping around indoors? At the southeast's largest natural history museum ! Don't forget to take a pic w/ Willo!

As a scientist, I'm thoroughly impressed with this museum . It's the best natural history museum I've ever visited. It's great for adults as well as kids.
The have a bitterly conservatory on the 4th floor of the main Museum side. The majority of the museum is free. And they do stuff for kids.
The whale exhibits are amazing, and the butterfly room is wonderful.
The #RACE exhibit is amazing! I've been 3 times already! I love that the museum is not afraid to tackle and question the idea of race ❤????

Visit Stumpy, "the mother of right whales, " weighing 77 tons until she fell prey to a ship strike in 2004. Unlike most such displays, this is one you can actually touch. Read more

Check out Cafe Prost! Pretzels are the best! Tomato and Gouda tastes like a mini pizza . Truck is located near museum entrance.
