Proper Bagel

Schmear no more! Real bagels have arrived in Nashville! The bagels are legit and the roasted veggie cream cheese was delicious although all of them looked good!

Yes. Yes. Yes. I like to keep it simple and my sesame bagel with scallion cream cheese was perfect. They have items like whitefish salad and smoked tuna with capers that are hard to find around here.

Make sure to try their lavender and honey cream cheese 😍 Had an everything bagel breakfast sandwich and it was delicious. Great Barista Parlor coffee too!

Avocado & Egg sandwich on a toasted bialy . Add bacon and swap in garlic rosemary cream cheese 👌🏼

Pastrami Bagel on toasted everything was good. Get there early on weekends line out the door.

Good but not amazing bagels . With a name like "Proper Bagel" I expect an incredible, "proper" bagel . Still good atmosphere and food though.

New York smoked fish , but not New York bagels ...close enough most days though. Bagels are a bit airier and smaller than dense NYC bagels . Prices are high for what it is though.

Someone else has said this but I'll reiterate: unless you want cream cheese flowing through your arteries, ask them to go light on it.

Anything with smoked salmon on it is great here!

Expensive. Be prepared to wait a while. Also ask for light cream cheese if that's an option, otherwise they go way overboard.

Food is fine - but routinely waiting 30 minutes for an egg sandwich after you've waited in line to order just isn't worth it

Got very sick from the salmon bagel . I will not be going back here. Beware 💀
