Cozy place with friendly service and nice outside view to the Gravensteen castle . Sometimes you can watch football games in the TV inside.
De Alchemist is a lively and cheerful cafe in the old city centre of Ghent, near the medieval Gravensteen. The cafe has a rich tradition and was partially renovated recently.
First, find a seat (extra seats upstairs, very narrow stairs). Second, pick your drinks from the menu. Third, order and pay at the bar (cash only ). Return to your seat, they'll bring the drinks to you
It's rare to find a hearty family business right in the middle of the touristic centre, but this one is! Personal service, very good gin & tonics and a cosy interior. Feels like coming home!
Delicious Gin and Tonic and more on the menu. Small cozy space in the center. Perfect to stop in for a drink(s)!
