I've been coming to Hide for some 30+ years. Even convinced a former g/f to work there since I liked the place so much. Just fyi, Fernando is the guy who fills your tea ; been there since the beginning
They have a signature scallops "special" sushi ! ???? yummy!! Pictured here is a fresh sea bream sushi with ponzu sauce !
The Saba nigiri was so incredible. Rich and almost sweet, melt in your mouth good! Shout out to the chef with the hip blue glasses that served us at the bar !
It’s a really slim and traditional menu. The uni, unagi , salmon , and albacore are all good. Also tried the salmon skin salad , which was okay. Good but probably wouldn’t come back again.
The hamachi and hamachi belly (off menu item ) MELTED in my mouth. Opt for the $9.90 combo for the most filling option! Great and fast service ! Valet man was quite rude though :/
You have to try their “scallops special” it is their recipe and it’s unbeatable!
So good. So cheap . The tempura is lovely and the sushi rolls are the perfect size! CASH ONLY ! There is an ATM inside .
the albacore is excellent ???????? Hide Sushi is cash only
Delicious sushi . However, don't come here if you're trying to get in and get out. Super small place with limited seating . Also, they don't take credit cards ... C'mon guys, join the 21st century!
Best sushi in the area, without a doubt.
Great value for money sushi . If you don't want to wait, go early, sit at the bar , and order from the chef . My fav is Hamachi Belly and Halibut Fin: both are off menu items .
Nigiri sushi is great. Tempura is awesome too.
Unpretentious sushi . No need to get fancy . The salmon is top notch.
Get there before noon to have a seat straight away.
Great prices for high quality sourced fish across the board
Great classic sushi and teriyaki ! Nothing too fancy . Cash only
The quality of the fish is excellent for the price. And remember it's cash only !
Best Sushi in La hands down !
All of the sushi and appetizers are good.
30+ years and still great! Love that it is still cash only .
Amazing salmon sashimi , sushi , hand roll
Try the live shrimp . It's delish. They bring the head out at the end of your meal deep-fried. Eat the whole thing. Even the eyeballs.
Amazingly fresh sushi . Pricey though.
Validated parking in the back. Faves: hirame, unagi
One of the best in West LA.
The proverbial clipboard is actually a white board a bit further inside. Don't stand around looking like a noob like I did...
Bring a snack if you're planning to stand in line for dinner !
The unagi is the bomb diggity
The salmon is amazing.
Highly recommend the negitoro.
A cheap blogger food option. Inexpensive , great quality, and cash only (via @jamiehonkawa)
scallop special and seared albacore id so yummy!!!!
Love the Yellowtail sushi . Keep it simple!
Cash only but there's an ATM inside .
The ankimo roll is rich and delicious.
Have you people had sushi ever? Such bad quality sushi / won’t ever come back..
The sushi is sooooo fresh. Quality is sooo good. Don't have to worry about old fish here.
Yummy, casual (pajama style), cheap .
Special! There is a cooked Hamachi Collar dinner set that is not listed on the menu
very reasonable pricing on all sushi
Big portion sushi , mediocre quality with dry sushi rice . Not impressed
Always sit at the bar ! Cash only !
Tempura is divine.
very good and my daughter loves the uni.
some of the best quality hamachi in LA
Cash only
closed on Monday
If you're looking for real, authentic sushi , stay away from this place
Salmon avocado roll, albacore and some edamame and miso soup. Great cheap meal!! - Leah Jane
One of the best value sushi places in La. Try their uni nigiri even though it's pricey. Worth it! - Go Find Alice
Got the 4 hand rolls. Scallop, crab, salmon, yellowtale. Love sushi :D - Irina S
Hands down, the best place for boba tea in L.A. (and I've been to most places near Monterey Park). The almond and coconut milk teas are my favorites. Now I'm ready to explore the rest of the menu. - J Lago
They WILL give you any of the different ice cream flavors with your bread pudding, but only on the side. It's worth it. - Nate Tinner
